• A new book on software evolution is about to be published by Springer (Tom Mens, Serge Demeyer (Eds.) Software Evolution, Springer, 2008. ISBN 978-3-540-76439-7; to appear in January 2008). I wrote the chapter on software redundancy.
• My keynote talk (annotated slides with all bibliographic references) at WCRE/WICSA.
• The proceedings to our recent Dagstuhl seminar on duplication, redundancy, and similarity in software has appeared. Among the valuable contributions of various participants, you might find my survey in clone detection survey useful.

Short Bio

I am teaching reengineering and software engineering. I hold a doctoral degree in computer science from the University of Stuttgart, Germany. I am the current Chair of the IEEE TCSE committee on reverse engineering and initiator and maintainer of the IEEE TCSE online bibliography on reengineering.
