Collaborative Research Center 1232: High throughput exploration for evolutionary structural materials

The Collaborative Research Center 1232 "Farbige Zustände" is aimed at establishing a completely new, experimental high throughput method for material development.
Hereby, it is focused to identify most promising chemical compositions as well as appropriate process chains, which allows to generate superior metallic structural materials.

The Collaborative Research Center 1232 "Farbige Zustände" is aimed at developing an evolutionary method to explore new metallic construction materials.

In particular, most promising chemical compositions as well as appropriate process chains are identified, which lead to superior structural materials fulfilling challenging performance profiles. The CRC 1232 potentially changes established paradigms of the material development: Instead of conventional methods, a completely new and resource-efficient high throughput method is developed, which enables the exploration of evolutionary material groups building the foundation for new emerging technologies.
