Talk on Matrix F5
“We will describe the ‘Matrix F5’ algorithm. Although not presented as an algorithm there, this algorithm appears on the first pages of Jean-Charles Faugere’s famous F5 paper to explain the main idea of F5 itself. It was later described in several French PhD theses but never formally published in English. The talk is titled ‘for the working cryptographer’ because we are going to start from the relatively well known XL algorithm and extend it to Matrix F5.”
