Start of project 01.10.2001

The students' project Nom@d ended in September 2003. The project's focus was on the development of protocols and services that enable mobile users to locate and use resources in the real as well as the "virtual"
world without being tied to specific providers, access technologies or client device types.

Nom@d was one of the first student projects to be offered in collaboration by two departments, that of physics and electrical engineering (FB 1) and that of mathematics and computer science (FB 3).
