The group offers various projects, lectures and workshops in the field of cognitive neuroinformatics. We also offer some assorted topics for master theses.

Here is an overview of the courses offered by our workgroup:

Bio-inspired pattern recognition and scene analysis

The course is about bio-inspired signal processing, the human visual system, linear and non-linear systems as well as high-level functions in human visual processing. The course is offered every winter semester.

Representations and treatment of uncertain knowledge

Topics include probabilistic and qualitative approaches for dealing with uncertain knowledge as well as spatial and temporal information.

Soft Computing I

The topics of this course are the principles of symbolic and neural systems. Offered during Winter Semesters.

Soft Computing II

A course about hybrid systems (taxonomies, architectures) and advanced knowledge processing in general.

Intelligent environments for an aging society

Topics are the physiology of aging, ergonomics and assistance systems.

Project management and scientific culture

Provisions for the student's projects in the masters programme "computer science". Topics are interdisciplinary research, project management as well as scientific culture and theory.

Advanced Problems in Visual Cognition

Topics include neuronal models, non-linear systems, scene analysis, attention control, building of hypotheses and processing of sensory data as well as virtual reality. Offered every semester.
