Dipl. Inf. Daniel Cermak-Sassenrath (dace@artec.uni-bremen.de)
Lecturer (Lehrbeauftragter) at Bremen University (Universität Bremen) and Bremen University of Applied Sciences (Hochschule Bremen). Teaches courses on computer games, Mixed Reality, tangible interfaces and new media.
He is currently working in F. Wilhelm Bruns' workgroup at the artecLab. The artecLab is an experimental group of artists, engineers and scientists searching for new forms of human-machine interaction.
In his dissertation thesis 'Play as Perspective in Everyday Computing' (working title) supervised by Frieder Nake he is looking at how play in Huizinga's sense can happen in everyday computing, and how this view on computer use compares to other perspectives in HCI, i. e. interactive narrative, calm computing, simulation, and communication.
