Photos of Syria and Jordan

The photos shown here were taken during a three-week journey through Jordan and Syria in March and April, 2009.

We flew to Amman (Queen Alia Airport) with Air France, picked up a rental car at the airport and headed to Madaba, by-passing Amman. From Madaba we made side-trips to the Dead Sea and Karak and then continued to Aqaba and Wadi Rum. From Aqaba we drove all the way back to Queen Alia Airport to drop the car and board our flight to Aleppo (Syria) with Royal Jordanian.

At the end of our three-day stay in Aleppo we rented another car and went to Hama, Krak des Chevalier, Palmyra/Tadmor and finally Damascus, where our itinerary ended. Contrary to what we expected, driving in Jordan and Syria was quite easy.

If you are planning to embark on a similar trip and have any questions feel free to send me a message.
